Rev. Robert and Mrs. Jarso V. M. Chiewolo
Founders & Lead Pastor

Rev. Robert and Mrs. Jarso Chiewolo are the founders and lead pastors of Philadelphia Church International (PCI) Nairobi. They are Liberian missionaries with unwavering passion to raise a generation of godly young people who would influence every sector of society with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Robert & Jarso came to Kenya 10 years ago to pursue graduate studies at the Africa International University, former Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST), where Robert earned a Master of Arts degree in Missions Studies (2015), and Jarso a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership (2018).

In 2015, the Lord gave them the vision to begin a movement of youth focused church plant across East Africa, beginning in Kenya. After six years of resistance to the Lord’s call, they finally began the Kenya church plant in 2021. Robert & Jarso have more than 18 years of experience in pastoral ministry and Christian non-profit ministry interventions. Both of them are visionary leaders and gifted teachers and preachers of God’s word as evinced by their yearlong experience in teaching, preaching, and capacity building training in the church and non-profit contexts.

Over the years, Robert & Jarso have mentored several young people who are now young professionals making kingdom impact in various sectors in Liberia, Ghana, Rwanda, the United States of America, UK, and Kenya respectively. Robert & Jarso have been happily married for 15 years. The Lord has blessed their union with three amazing children; John (10yrs), Lamateh (8yrs) and William (5yrs).
